More than 360 participants from all over the country, at the 12th iTEC edition

The traditional IT Engineering Contest (iTEC), organized by Liga AC (The students’ organization from the Faculty of Automation and Computing) with the support of Politehnica University Timisoara, already at its XIIth edition, brought to Timisoara over 360 young people from all over the country, students and passionate IT pupils.

The opening ceremony took place in the presence of the companies that patronize the sections of the competition at the UPT Student Restaurant on Friday, November 23, 2018, and the prize-giving ceremony was scheduled on November 25th.

The contest consists of 6 trials, namely: Algorithmics, Game Development, Mobile Development, Web Development, Embedded Development and Graphic Design.

The participants in the marathons, ie Game Development, Mobile Development, Web Development and Embedded Development, started the contest on Friday, and by the end of the week, over 48 hours, a project had to be carried out according to the requirements of the competition.

Algorithmics and Graphic Design trials were scheduled on Saturday 24 November at different time intervals to allow competitors to participate in both tests if they so wish.

In addition to the competition itself, the participants had the opportunity to learn new things, share good practices, get advice and get acquainted with other passionates in the field. Moreover, the organizers also prepared numerous surprises for them in Timișoara.
