The 14th edition of the Forum of Student Organizations in Romania

The Auditorium of the Conference Center of Politehnica University Timisoara was filled, on August 6, 2019, by students from all over the country at the opening of the largest annual national student event, ANOSR (National Alliance of Student Organizations of Romania). Over 500 student leaders from 19 university centers, which are part of the ANOSR member organizations from all over the country, debated, between August 5 and 14, 2019, in the 14th edition of the Student Organizations Forum in Romania ( FOSR), the situation of the current higher education in Romania, during the event establishing the priorities of the federation for the new academic year.

Among the guests present at this year's festive opening were Adrian Curaj - General Director of the Executive Unit for the Financing of Higher Education (UEFISCDI), Octavian Mădălin Bunoiu - member of the Board of the Romanian Agency for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ARACIS), Florin Drăgan - Florin Drăgana in double quality, as Vice-Rector of Politehnica University Timisoara and representative of the National Council for the Financing of Higher Education, Dan Diaconu - Deputy Mayor of the Municipality of Timisoara, Robert Napier - President of the European Students Organization (European Students Union - ESU), Mihai Dragoș – President of The Youth Council of Romania, Antonia Pup - President of the National Council of Students, as well as representatives of the Timisoara European Cultural Capital Association and of the County Foundation for Timisoara Youth.

During the 10 days of the event, the participants benefited from training sessions in the field of student representation and on educational issues such as the Bologna process (where it was analyzed, together with colleagues from the European Student Organization, to what extent there is a student-centered education in Romania. ), the rights of students, counseling and career guidance services for students and their insertion in the labor market, quality assurance in Romanian higher education, digitalization of higher education, development and support of entrepreneurship among students and graduates, ethics and university ethics (such as university ethics and ethics) combats corruption and academic imposture), operationalizing support services for students (student dormitories and university canteens), which is the role of international mobility in modernizing and internationalizing education, future jobs or additional involvement of students in research. The conclusions of these debates are the basis of the strategy that ANOSR will adopt in the next term. During the event, the students were able to develop their knowledge in other areas of interest: human resources, project writing, fundraising, public relations, image, IT, legislative and secretarial, project leadership and management.

The event ended with the ANOSR General Assembly, in which the federation's directions for the new term were established, evaluating the activity of the members of the Board of Directors and voting for the new leaders of the student movement.

The XIV edition of the Forum of Student Organizations in Romania was organized with the support of the Association from 4 (A4), the Student League of the Faculty of Automation and Computers (Liga AC), the Chemistry Student League of Timisoara (LSCT), the Students League from the Faculty of Electronics and Telecommunications ( LSFETc ), Student leagues from the Faculty of Electrical and Power Engineering in Timisoara (LSFEE), Student league from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of Timisoara (LSFMT), Student league from the Faculty of Management in Production and Transportation The Student Organization "Traian Lalescu" (OSTL) and Politehnica University Timisoara.

ANOSR brings together students from 19 university centers across the country, from 30 universities, reaching 109 member organizations, which are fighting together to keep the student movement mechanism in place.
