The creations of architecture students exhibited

The Hall of the Central Library of Politehnica University Timişoara was filled on Thursday, January 10, by chairs. They are creations of the sixth-year students from UPT's Faculty of Architecture and City Planning, specializing in Interior Design, led by Professors Cristina-Maria Povian and Mihai Donici.

The exhibition "SIT WITH ME ... in Timişoara European Capital of Culture" is the implementation of the work done by students within the Interior Design Project. This year's theme was to create an easy-to-carry, folding chair for cultural events organized for the Timisoara European Capital of Culture in 2021 project.

The exhibition was an exciting challenge for students who, up to now, were accustomed to working only on paper or on computers. The fact that their work is exposed in an increasingly visible space is also a useful feed-back for students in the year, who have thus been able to interact with possible prospective clients.

Student scores focused on both creativity, functionality and aesthetic appearance of the final product. And the solutions found by the students showed great creativity and originality, from form to the chosen materials.
