The curtain was dropped over the 25th edition of ISWinT

With tears in the eyes, more than 100 students from 33 countries participating in ISWinT's 25th edition went on their separate ways after 11 days of festival in which they made new friends, debated their generation’s issues and they felt great.

International Student Week in Timisoara or in short ISWinT is a festival organized by Liga AC (the League of Students from the Faculty of Automation and Computing), with the support of Politehnica Timisoara University, which gathers in Timisoara for 25 years students from all corners of the world to discussing issues that affect young people globally.

Afghanistan, Algeria, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Brazil, Bulgaria, Burkina Faso, Cambodia, Costa Rica, Croatia, Czech Republic, Egypt, Germany, Ghana, Greece, Hungary, India, Indonesia, Iraq, Italy, Republic of Moldova, Nigeria, Pakistan , Romania, Russia, Serbia, Slovenia, Spain, Sudan, Syria, Turkey, Yemen. All these countries have been represented at ISWinT!

Under the title "ReThink!", the topics addressed this year were first aid, graphic design, volunteering, positivism, orientation in life, recycling, human rights, education, minorities, creativity, Romanian traditions, dance and prejudice.

During 11 days, between July 23 and August 2, international students attended workshops where they debated these topics, learned new things, changed ideas, and saw cultural differences, but they did not prevent them from making friends.

The participants of the Romanian Traditions Workshop took the stage at Politehnica University Restaurant where they presented the dance steps learned in Romania.

However, the largest dance took place in Unirii Square, with all the international students, after they marched from the Students' Complex into a parade of flags. The evening ended with a show with fire and lantern launch. The people walking through the city center could join the students and enjoy the show.

At the ceremony to conclude the 25th edition, an anniversary edition under the Patronage of the European Parliament, on the stage of the Multifunctional Hall of the Timis County Council, the students presented the conclusions of their experience in Romania. These conclusions are, on the one hand, some desires, three of which are the most important:

 - Having access to education and young people with poor incomes
 - Borders are just lines on the map, not a separation between people
 - Human rights to be respected.
