The Central Library of Politehnica University Timişoara became a concert scene on Thursday 10th January 2019. Daniel Dorobanţu, a pioneer of ambient music in Romania, brought "Mythologies of the Future" into a concert combining two themes recently explored in the artist's work: mythological narratives (fairy tale concerts) and science fiction (the Thy Veils project).
With music on the border between electronic ambient and modern classical and a spectacular visual show with projections in a non-conformist space, the concert has captured the audience's attention in large numbers at the event.
The UPT library was chosen as a concert scene and because the artist himself is a graduate of the Faculty of Automation and Computing and the event was also an opportunity for the public to explore the most modern library in Romania.
Using the latest technologies, Daniel Dorobanţu is motivated by a long-term interest and continuous research on the nature of inspiration itself and on the contemplative and meditative aspects of the artistic process. Since his debut in 1995, Daniel Dorobantsu has produced 12 studio albums, numerous video works, installations, live shows and multimedia experiments.
