The first Romanian participation in the "Course en Cours" competition, an original competition, focused on science and technology, organized under the aegis of Renault Group, Dassault Systemes and the Ministry of National Education and Research in France in early June in Paris was a team from Politehnica University Timisoara.
The T-Motion Team, composed of Sebastian Micu, Sebastian Jbranca, David Iordanescu, Albert Ilioni, all in the first year at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, and Ioan Michis, 1st year, the Faculty of Architecture and City Planning, guided by lect. eng. Hannelore Filipescu, PhD (Action Responsible) and Prof. eng. Mircea Voda, PhD (technical guidance and logistics) had an excellent road trip and reached the quarterfinals of the competition.
The teams participating in the drag-racing competition with engine powered vehicles also had a mobile presentation stand, easy to carry and mount, made with a limited budget.
The competition samples consisted of: design assessment with imposed technical constraints, construction of the physical model, testing the aptitude in design, putting the model into operation with engine programming, creating a presentation stand and a project portfolio.
On October 10, 2018, the T-Motion team arrived in the UPT Library's central lobby, where the presentation and testing of the car that took part in the "Course en course" Paris competition took place. The car was designed by the UPT students participating in the competition, and later on was physically built according to the organizers' requirements. T-Motion team members have shared with the people present ar the event, in their fairly large number, their experience in Paris.
