On the 21st and 22nd of November 2016, the Faculty of Mecanical Engineering of Politehnica University of Timișoara was visited by its guest delegation formed of students and professors from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of University of Nis, Republic of Serbia.
The delegation from the Republic of Serbia was made up of Phd, assistant Aleksandar Miltenovic, Phd, assistant Milos Kocic, Phd, assistant Vesna Petkovic and 50 students who were very eager to spend a period of time in our faculty using the Erasmus+ KA107 programme with non-EU partner countries.
The delegation’s visit schedule included a tour of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, UPT’s campus and a tour of the city. The students were impressed by the hosts’ presentation, and also by the hospitality that was offered. The professors from Nis were warmly welcomed by professors of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Prof., Phd Eugen Ghita and Prof., Phd Aurel Tulcan, as well as Prof., Phd Dorin Lelea, and Prof., Phd Lia Dolga, Erasmus+ Institutional Coordinator and Director of International Relations Department.
The informal discussions with the Nis’ representatives were agreeable for both sides and were focused on the consolidation and growth of the cooperation between the two faculties, using the Erasmus+ KA107 programme. The excellent compatibility between the faculties’ two programmes, as well as the collaboration using other programmes or domains of research and development, represent the premeses of an improving partnership.
The partnership between the University of Nis, using the Erasmus+ KA107 programme, started by the International Relations Department in collaboration with the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and the Faculty of Engineering Hunedoara in the 2015-2016 universitary year, has already clicked by exhausting all the places for mobility, teaching and formation studies, created with the project’s help during the previous academic year.
