As we have been accustomed to for a long time, the Central Library of Politehnica University Timişoara is not only a simple reading room, but one in which is a series of events, especially in the cultural-artistic field, but not only, take place.
In this context, on October 17, in the UPT Library's central hall, an unusual musical recital played by duo Carmen and Dorel Iuga from The Banat Philharmonic and the Percutissimo ensemble (Amelia Trifu, Patrick Cojerean, Daniel Jumugă-Cuibariu), coordinated by Professor Doru Roman.
Famous areas played by duo Carmen and Dorel Iuga in violin and flute, but also the exotic rhythms brought by the students in the Percutissimo group to drums and vibraphones have pulled out the audience's applause, whether they were coming for a concert or paused reading to watch the recital.
The event was organized in order to better integrate students in the cultural life of the Library and, last but not least, of the city, especially in the context in which Timisoara will soon become European Capital of Culture.
The concert was broadcasted live on Facebook.
