Politehnica University Timisoara signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with Chonbuk National University of South Korea on June 6th, 2018. The event took place at the headquarters of the Romanian Academy, Timisoara Branch, in a wider context, similar agreements being signed by the Korean University with the Banat University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine and West University of Timisoara.
The event was attended by representatives of the four universities, the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Bucharest, His Excellency Kim Eun-joong, who also brokered the signing of the agreements, as well as Mr. Ioan Coriolan Garboni, the director of the Banat Philharmonic and the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Korea in Timisoara.
The Memorandum signed by Politehnica University Timisoara with Chonbuk National University provides a general framework for collaboration, and then a bilateral agreement on cooperation on several fields will be signed: student exchanges under Erasmus+ programs, teacher exchanges, joint research projects, joint conference organization, seminars or symposiums, information exchange in academic or scientific fields.
