In an institution with a tradition of almost a century such as Politehnica University Timișoara, traditions couldn’t be missing and students respected the Easter traditions in their own way.
A group of students from the Faculty of Automation and Computing within Politehnica University Timișoara proved in a non-standard way that traditions and technology go well together. Inspired by the custom of decorating eggs, the students wanted to prove that it could be done differently, using cutting-edge technology.
The students contacted Călin Brandabur, the manager of Symme 3D, a company from Timișoara and long-time partner who supported students’ and UPT’s projects. His company is one of the most famous in the field of 3D printing and with their help, the students 3D-printed Easter eggs.
Printing such an egg takes a few hours but the result is spectacular. On their visit, the students had the opportunity to find out the latest news regarding this technological process. Politehnica University Timișoara has multiple partnerships with companies from Timișoara where students take part in interships but this collaboration in the field of 3D printing is a premiere.
