The first Romanian team to participate in the "Course en Cours" competition, an original science and technology-focused competition organized under the aegis of Renault Group, Dassault Systemes and the Ministry of Education and Research of France, in early June in Paris, was a team from Politehnica University Timisoara.
The teams participating in the drag-racing competition with motor-powered engines also had a mobile presentation stand, easy to carry and to mount, with a limited budget.
The T-Motion team, composed of Sebastian Micu, Sebastian Jbranca, David Iordanescu, Albert Ilioni, all in the first year at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, and Ioan Michis, 1st year, Faculty of Architecture and City Planning, guided by lecturer eng. Hannelore Filipescu, PhD, (responsible of this action) and prof. eng. Mircea Vodă, PhD, (technical guidance and logistics), had an excellent track and reached the final quarters of the competition.
The competition trials consisted of: design evaluation with imposed technical constraints, building a physical model, design skills testing, operating the model with engine programming, production of a presentation stand and a project portfolio.
Congratulations!
