Romanian-Serbian collaboration

Agreement signed with the University of Novi Sad

A delegation of teaching staff, department managers and students from the Faculty of Technical Sciences of the University of Novi Sad, led by their vice-dean, prof. eng. Vladimir Katic, PhD, visited Politehnica University Timișoara on Friday 24 May 2019. Three weeks ago, a delegation from UPT had a visit to the University of Novi Sad, with the occasion of a collaboration agreement, especially on the engineering side, with the Faculty of Technical Sciences, which has 16,000 enrolled students.

During the visit to Timisoara, the delegation of teachers and students from Serbia visited the UPT Rectorate, where it was received by the rector of the institution, prof. eng. Viorel-Aurel Serban, PhD, and vice-rector assoc. prof. eng. Florin Dragan, PhD.

Also, on this occasion there were visited laboratories of the Politehnica University Timisoara, and the guests from Novi Sad took part in an international student workshop on ”Environmental Effects of Electric Vehicles Usage”.

In the second part of the visit, prof. eng. Vladimir Katic, PhD, an old collaborator of UPT, was awarded the academic title of Honorary Professor of Politehnica University Timișoara, an event that took place in the Senate Hall.
