The Climate Education Coalition is an initiative of the European Commission, part of the European Education Area, which aims to promote the ecological transition throughout the European Union. The Coalition's actions will focus on five priorities: (1) developing environmental skills, (2) teacher training, (3) changing citizens' behavior, (4) connecting education and science, and (5) raising awareness at the collective level.
The European Commission has launched a public appeal to those schools and universities that have been or are involved in projects related to sustainable development, environmental protection, combating the effects of climate change (or similar topics); those concerned are invited to describe what they have achieved in those projects, as a first step towards the development of a platform for the exchange of good practices and thus to express their commitment to continue to contribute to achieving climate neutrality and promoting sustainable development.
