ASU Politehnica, the team with all the legitimate players at the ... library

On February 19, 2019, at the Politehnica University Timișoara Library, the players from the ASU Politehnica Football Team received nominal library user cards. The cards were handed to them by the UPT rector, prof. eng. Viorel-Aurel Serban, PhD.

Through this event, Politehnica University respects the tradition of almost 100 years of white-and-purple student football, and emphasizes that Politehnica is currently the only team of students from the national football division.

Physical education has always been a compulsory subject at UPT, and the selections of university students have traditionally taken part in national student championships in various sporting disciplines. In the past, for decades, the players of the Politehnica football team were, almost all, university students.
