UPT runs a francophone project

Business ethics is the main theme of the project ”Normality and Social Values ​​of Ethical and Responsible Management (NOVAMER)", coordinated by the Department of Teaching Staff Training (DPPD) of Politehnica University Timisoara, whose launch workshop took place on May 7, 2019, at DPPD headquarters.

The project, amounting to € 25,180, to be completed in December 2020, is carried out under the aegis of the scientific partnership between the Francophonie University Agency and the Ministry of National Education in Romania, PN3 / Bilateral / Multilateral Subprogramme AUF-RO 2018.

The aim of the project is to strengthen the scientific cooperation between three Francophone countries, Romania, France and Moldova, as well as to establish a research network in the field of humanities and social sciences, between the researchers of Politehnica University Timișoara, the Paul Vallery Montpellier 3 University and those of the State Pedagogical University Ion Creangă Chişinău.

The project is coordinated by asso. prof. Crisana-Alina Mazilescu, PhD, (project director – Politehnica University Timisoara, Romania), and the coordinators of the partner research teams are Lucia Chitoroga (Republic of Moldova, Pedagogical University of Moldova) and Laurent Auzoult-Chagnault (Paul Vallery Montpellier 3 University, France).

The project aims to study the determinants of ethical and responsible management, taking into account the influence of judgments, beliefs, norms and values ​​and then using the results obtained to develop a program of ethical and social attitudes responsible both at the individual (micro), and organizational (meso) level. At the same time, it is desirable for the societal (macro) project to provide a useful change perspective for civil society institutions and organizations in responsible management.

A major asset of the project lies in its commitment to ensuring a scientific, educational and social impact:

a) scientific impact - theoretical contributions to identifying the social and cultural factors influencing ethical behavior and responsible managers; a model of behavioral intervention will be developed;

b) educational impact - universities can renew their training offer by providing training programs in the field of responsible management;

c) environmental impact - people who adopt sustainable behaviors are environmental oriented people in accordance with their personal values ​​and principles.
