Double book launch at UPT

The Politehnica Foundation, a true promoter of the cultural events of the UPT, organized a double book release on the 3rd of October 2018 in UPT Senate Hall.

The "Chronology of Banat" (2 vol.), Authors Ioan Haţegan and Alexandru Kosa, includes the summaries of documents issued by the Banat Habsburg military chancellery between 1716 and 1753. But in reality it is a chronicle of Banat's modernization process, through the eyes of the military administration. Because the original documents were lost during the First World War, only thanks to Baroti Lajos we have their abstracts, published in German, in the journal of the Banat Museum, in 10 volumes, between 1893-1907.

"Hotels, Restaurants and Cafes in Timisoara 18th Century", by Ioan Haţegan, informs the public of Timişoara, about the atmosphere of the 18th century in the recreation centers.

Politehnica Foundation is not in the first collaboration with the historian Ioan Haţegan, but has always supported the initiatives of the main "columnist" of Banat to promote this area.

At the end of the event, those present could purchase the two works, with autographs by the authors.
