On April 10, 2019, at 12:00, the Știința Stadium was the starting point of the XXII edition of the Poli Cup, a competition that brings together several sports and gaming competitions, organized by the Students' Organization of the Faculty of Electrical and Power Engineering within Politehnica University Timișoara (LSFEE). About 200 students celebrated the 21st edition of the competition through a 22-stage stadium marathon, one for each year of the competition.
The competition brings together students eager to compete on both the sports ground and the computer in online competitions.
Under the slogan "Play, Fight & Win”, the Poli Cup promotes the idea of competition, team spirit, communication and fair play, with the participants having the opportunity to combine the physical effort with the intellectual effort. This year, the Poli Cup consists of ten competitions for both sports and gaming enthusiasts.
The Poli Cup became through its previous editions, more than a competition, became the playground of all young people who have chosen to spend their time constructively investing the energy specific to their age in competition, contributing to their health and personal development.
