The registrations for admission to Politehnica University Timișoara have begun
On Wednesday, July 5th, 2023, Politehnica University Timișoara officially commenced the admission process for the academic year 2023-2024. Prospective students can apply to any of the 10 faculties either online through the dedicated platform (https://admitere.upt.ro/) or in person at the faculties and regional admission centers in Deva ("Decebal" National College), Drobeta-Turnu Severin ("Ștefan Odobleja" National Pedagogic College), Reșița ("Traian Lalescu" National College), Târgu Jiu ("Ecaterina Teodoroiu" National College), Râmnicu-Vâlcea ("Mircea cel Bătrân" National College), and Arad ("Moise Nicoară" National College).
Admission to Politehnica University Timișoara is done either through a competitive examination that tests the candidates' knowledge (at the Faculty of Automation and Computers and the Faculty of Architecture and City Planning) or through a file-based competition (at the other faculties).
Students awarded at national and international olympiads and competitions are admitted with a grade of 10, without the need for additional entrance exams. Additionally, special places are allocated to students coming from rural high schools, high-performing athletes, candidates from the social protection system, candidates of Roma ethnicity, individuals with special needs, Romanians from all over the world, and candidates interested in pursuing a career at SRI (Romanian Intelligence Service).
