UPT students, finalists in the national stage of the “Tudor Tănăsescu” professional competition

A team from Politehnica University Timișoara recently participated in the national stage of the "Tudor Tănăsescu" professional competition, held at Politehnica University in Bucharest, and the most important professional competition for students of electronics, automation and computers faculties in Romania.

The competition is based on two subjects from the fundamental training of an electronics engineer: Analog Integrated Circuits and Signals, Circuits and Systems.

This year, Magerusan Raluca, Golu Elena, Preda Bogdan, Șinca Alen, Dobosan Robert, Pașca Silviu and Anton Oana competed in the Signals, Circuits and Systems (SCS) section, representing the Faculty of Electronics, Telecommunications and Information Technologies of UPT, and Paul Medinceanu participated in the Analog Integrated Circuits section.

The competition, which consists of a theoretical and a practical test, is addressed to third- and fourth-year students, but master's degree students could also register.

The students from Politehnica University Timișoara obtained the following results:

     • 3rd place in the Analog Integrated Circuits section - Paul Medinceanu, fourth year, Faculty of Electronics, Telecommunications and Information Technologies, Applied Electronics specialization;

     • fourth place in the Signals, Circuits and Systems section - Oana Anton - second year, Faculty of Electronics, Telecommunications and Information Technologies, series A.
